Code of Christian Conduct

{{item}}
Please read the content below in its entirety, signing and dating when you're finished.
{{item}}

Christianity is central to the purpose and mission of Salem Pregnancy Care Center. For this reason, all Center affairs are to be conducted in full accordance with the Bible, the Center’s Mission, its Statement of Faith, its Bylaws, as well as related policies reflecting the Center’s religious nature. It is the Center’s policy to be staffed, whether by employees or volunteers, with only committed disciples of Jesus Christ. Consequently, every employee and volunteer is expected to review and affirm his or her agreement with these standards as a condition of continued affiliation with the Center, both in terms of doctrinal belief and practical application. Violation of this Code shall constitute cause for discipline up to and including termination. “…set an example for believers (and unbelievers) in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” (I Timothy 4: 12b) “Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.” Phil 1:27

• We are conscious of the fact that everything we do, directly or indirectly, has the potential to reflect upon the Salem Pregnancy Care Center as a whole.
• We conduct ourselves at all times with openness, forthrightness, and honesty in dealing with people and organizations, both internally and externally, regardless of race, ethnicity, or cultural orientation.

• We hold ourselves to the highest possible standard of conduct, always striving to avoid even the appearance of impropriety.

• All of our communications are truthful, honest, and accurately describe the services we offer.

• We operate in accordance with all applicable laws.

• We respect confidentiality and only disclose information as required by law or as otherwise authorized by the client/patient.

• We treat others with kindness, compassion and in a caring and courteous manner.

• We believe in the sanctity of life from the moment of conception to natural death.

• We oppose abortion, except to save the life of the mother.

• We oppose all forms of abortifacients.

• We give accurate information about pregnancy, fetal development, lifestyle issues, and related concerns.

• We do not offer, recommend or refer for abortions or abortifacients, but we are committed to offering accurate information about abortion procedures and risks.

• We believe the Bible is the authoritative Word of God and provides guidance for our lives.

• We believe in chastity outside of marriage and fidelity within. We believe in the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman as taught in the Bible. Therefore, all staff and volunteers commit to a lifestyle of sexual purity, and will refrain from engaging in any sexual relationships outside the bonds of Christian marriage.

• We live a lifestyle consistent with biblical values.

• All “conflict of interest” relationships will be avoided with Board members, staff, suppliers, those we serve, and other organizations with whom we deal, unless disclosed and approved.

• No one will accept gifts or favors which might influence the performance of their responsibilities.

I agree to uphold these values and live a biblical lifestyle.

Mission Statement

{{item}}

To share the love and grace of God and to end the cycle of abortion.

{{item}}

Statement of Faith

{{item}}

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.

Statement of Principles

{{item}}

1. Salem Pregnancy Care Center (SPCC) is an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ through His church. Therefore, SPCC, embodied in its volunteers, is committed to presenting the Gospel of our Lord to women with crisis pregnancies – both in word and deed. Commensurate with this purpose, those who serve as SPCC Board Members, Directors, and Volunteers are expected to know Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.

2. SPCC recognizes God as the creator of life. Therefore, we are committed to the sanctity of all human life from conception until natural death. SPCC does not recommend, provide, or refer anyone for an abortion or abortifacients.

3. SPCC is committed to providing its clients with accurate and complete information about both prenatal development and abortion.

4. SPCC is committed to integrity in dealing with clients, earning their trust, providing promised information and services, and avoiding any form of deception in its corporate advertising or individual conversations with its clients.

5. SPCC is committed to assisting women to carry to term by providing emotional support and practical assistance. Through the provision of God’s people and the community at large, women can face the future with hope and plan constructively for themselves and their babies.

6. SPCC does not discriminate in providing services because of the race, creed, color, national origin, age, sexual orientation, or marital status of its clients.
7. SPCC offers assistance free of charge at all times.

8. SPCC is committed to creating awareness within the local community of the needs of pregnant women and of the fact that abortion only compounds human need rather than resolves it.

9. SPCC does not recommend, provide, or refer single women for contraceptives and is committed to proclaiming the message of abstinence until marriage in accordance with God’s Word. Married women seeking contraceptive information are urged to seek counsel, along with their husbands, from a physician.

10. SPCC recognizes the validity of adoption as one alternative to abortion. SPCC is independent of adoption agencies, receives no payment of any kind from these agencies, and does not enter into contractual relationships with them. Adoption agencies are not established under the auspices of this Center.

11. SPCC seeks to aid women who are experiencing emotional problems following an abortion by offering compassionate support, which enables them to work through their loss, as well as information on Post Abortion Stress.
